A Weekend in Zagreb: Pastries and Panoramas in Croatia’s Capital
Zagreb had been on the wishlist for ages. I’d always pictured myself wandering pastel streets with a coffee in hand, making a beeline for that jaw-dropping tiled roof at St Mark’s. So when the trip finally happened, we were buzzing. Now, did everything go to plan? Absolutely not. Half the big-name sights were either closed or under scaffolding, and our timing was a bit tragic. But, that’s part of what made it memorable. We built our own little intro-to-Zagreb walking tour, stumbled across local markets bursting with oddities, and fell head over heels for Bread Club - still dreaming about those pastries. Zagreb had its hiccups, sure, but the charm more than made up for the chaos-free (but delightfully unpredictable) ride.
