If you’re heading to Brighton, whether it’s for business or just a cheeky weekend away, you should make Staybridge Suites your base. It’s smack bang in the heart of Brighton, just a stone’s throw from the train station and only a 15-minute walk to the beach – how good is that? After a long day of work, I was straight out exploring the city and soaking up its funky vibe. Brighton’s one of those places that really surprises you, and I couldn’t get enough of it. I was here for a three day business trip, and I will be back!

The Staybridge Vibe: Comfort, Style, and a Top Location
As soon as I walked into Staybridge Suites, I knew I was in the right place. The staff were so friendly, and the vibe of the place was just spot on – modern, stylish, and comfy. The check-in was a breeze, and before I knew it, I was up in my room, dropping my bags before hitting the city. But this room – let me tell you – it was gorgeous. Spacious, sleek, and with all the little touches that made it feel like a home away from home. And the best bit? The pillows. Absolute cloud-like perfection.
Side note: While the room itself was fantastic, I did experience some noise disturbances from other guests in the corridor during the night. Thankfully, I was able to smooth things over by playing white noise on my phone, which helped mask the sounds and allowed me to get back to sleep.

Brighton: A Hidden Gem You’ll Fall In Love With
So, let’s talk about Brighton, shall we? This city is a total gem, and I’m a bit gutted I didn’t explore more on my first visit! If you haven’t been, get yourself down here ASAP. Whether you’re in it for the culture, the food, or just a good old wander by the sea, Brighton’s got it all.
First off, the Lanes. Picture this: narrow, winding streets, cobbled pathways, and quirky little shops stacked with vintage finds, one-off boutiques, and indie cafés. You’ll easily lose a couple of hours here just soaking in the atmosphere and hunting for cool stuff to take home. Make sure to stop for an espresso or a cheeky pastry in one of the cafes – perfect for people-watching.
Then, there’s the iconic Brighton Beach. It’s not your typical sandy stretch, but the pebble beach has its own charm. The sound of the waves, the salty air, and the view of the Brighton Pier in the distance? It’s all the good vibes you need. Take a stroll along the promenade, get some fresh churros and soak in the fun vibes on offer.
And if you’re into art, history, or quirky museums, Brighton’s full of hidden gems. Check out the Royal Pavilion, a majestic building that looks like it’s straight out of a fairytale (but a bit more on the exotic side). Or head over to the North Laine area for even more cool shops, street art, and, let’s face it, some of the best coffee in town. Seriously, you won’t leave disappointed. Brighton’s not just a city; it’s a lifestyle.
Brighton is brimming with brilliant food spots, and I made sure to check out some local favourites. First up, The Giggling Squid – a cosy Thai spot that transported me back to Chiang Mai. The atmosphere is lively, the service is friendly, and their salt and pepper chilli mushroom is an absolute must. For something a bit different, I tried Pamukkale, a Turkish restaurant with amazing mezze and authentic flavours. The halloumi wraps are melt-in-your-mouth good. Lastly, La Choza is where you want to go for Mexican street food vibes – think tacos, quesadillas, burritos, and plenty of spice. Their vibrant decor and buzzing atmosphere make it a great place to kick back and enjoy a laid-back meal after a day of exploring. OH, and do not skip the hibiscus margarita. Thank me later.
You really can’t go wrong with Brighton’s food scene!
Breakfast Like a Local
Back to Staybridge Suites for a minute – let’s talk about breakfast. After a busy morning, you’ll want something that’ll set you up for the day, and their spread has it all. Fresh pastries, cereal, hot food, and of course, that all-important coffee. I was all over the coffee station, fueling up for another day of wandering. And the vibe in the breakfast area? Super chilled, perfect for grabbing a bite before heading out for more exploring (or work, in my case!).
Gym Time: Keeping It Moving in Brighton
For those of you who like to keep fit on the go (guilty!), the Staybridge gym’s got you covered. It’s compact but well-equipped, so if you need to squeeze in a workout during your stay, it’s all sorted. I’m not one to skip a session if I can help it, so I made sure to pop in for a quick run on the treadmill. Got to burn off the calories from the pastries at breakfast!
Final Thoughts: Stay Here, Play There
If you’re planning a trip to Brighton, Staybridge Suites is a winner. It’s in the perfect spot for exploring, the rooms are dreamy, the gym’s on point, and the staff make you feel like part of the family. It’s the ideal place to crash after a day spent eating your way around the city, taking in the sights, and just letting Brighton’s unique charm work its magic.
And I promise you – Brighton is one of those cities you’ll fall in love with, the kind that has something new to discover around every corner. So, if you’re looking for a mix of history, culture, food, and good vibes, Brighton’s the place to be. Don’t sleep on this hidden gem, and when you’re there, make Staybridge Suites your home base.
